The upcoming turn of the year is sure to be special for the Kannada cinema patrons as a number of exciting films line up for theatrical releases. From mighty, big-budget projects like 'RRR' (dubbed version) 'Vikrant Rona', and 'K.G.F: Chapter 2' to spunky, medium-range films like 'Old Monk', there's a lot in store in the early part of the year 2022. And one such exciting release shall be the much-awaited 'Love Mocktail 2' and judging by the subtle hint dropped by the film's director Darling Krishna, the film is gearing up for a release on or around Valentine's Day.
Krishna, who also stars in the film as the lead, took to Twitter a short while ago to discuss the release date of 'Love Mocktail 2'. Stating that the date shall be made public on the 18th of December at exactly 5 pm, the director asked his followers to take guesses, and in the same vein, dropped a cheeky hint by saying "well, actually it's an easy guess"! Soon came comments flowing with many predicting the release date to be the upcoming Valentine's Day.

Many would already know that the 'Love Mocktail' couple of Darling Krishna and Milana Nagaraj tied the wedding knot earlier this year on the 14th of February in an intimate but grand gathering. Post the success of the 2020 film, the duo decided on taking its off-screen romance a step ahead with the wedding, much to the delight of the many dedicated fans.

'Love Mocktail 2' comes a follow-up to the 2020 film with Darling Krishna and Milana Nagaraj (also producers) reprising their respective roles and Rachel David coming in as the new female lead. The film's shooting was wrapped up back in August and the makers have also cleared the censorship stage with a 'U' certificate. The official remake of 'Love Mocktail' in Telugu too got underway a few months ago with Sathyadev Kancharana and Tamannaah playing the roles and Nagashekar of 'Sanju Weds Geetha' fame directing the film.
