Talk about a blast from the past!
New Edition and New Kids on the Block required to the stage for a sing-off at the American Music Honors in Los Angeles on Sunday night, and stole the show in the process.
The giant performances, which were referred to as "The Battle of Boston," saw both Massachusetts-based boy bands go back and forth, vocalizing their most renowned tracks as a star-studded audience seen on.
NKOTB appeared on the AMAs stage first, launching into a performance of their 1988 wreck "You Got It (The Right Stuff).".
The five-piece-- four of whom are currently matured in their 50s-- confirmed they still have the relocations, performing a choreographed dance routine while clad in black leather outfits.
Immediately later, New Edition constructed onstage to vocalize their famous 1983 hit "Candy Girl." It was the first time the band had performed at the AMAs because 1997.

A to and fro between both fabulous pop groups ensued, with NKOTB going back to sing their hit "Step by Step," before New Edition performed "Mr. Telephone Male.".
The boy bands after that signed up with pressures, performing several of their hit tracks together, much to the delight of a shouting audience.
K-pop boy band BTS-- who believe been influenced by both New Edition and NKOTB-- were seen enthusiastically dancing along in the group.
NKOTB singer Joey McIntyre, currently 48, echoed the sentiments of a lot of a fan by revealing afterward on the post-show red carpet: "My 13-year-old self is freaking out right now.".

BTS were indeed the big victors of the night, taking home the coveted musician of the year award.
The South Oriental singers beat out Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd to catch the honor. They scooped up two various other awards, including favored pop song.
At the same time, NKOTB have introduced their are heading out on a cross-country scenic tour from May next year. Sunday's efficiency has fans requiring New Edition to join them on the road.
